CLASH OF THE CLANS
The battle of the musical clan is an entertainment program designed to creat great competition among the various musical bases in Nigeria in a bid to decide which is Nigerias premiere base of the year. A musical base is any area known to have produced more than twenty star musical artistes. We have divided the country into 28 musical bases according to our definition of a musical base. Lagos state have 16 musical bases out of the total 28 bases in nigeria due to the high population of musical artistes in the state and the high rate of music production in the cities that make up lagos state. among the musical bases in lagos are festac town, ajegunle, surulere, apapa, orile,ikeja to mention but a few. The other musical bases are spread around other parts of the country like Port harcourt, Enugu, Benin, Owerri, Abuja, Bayelsa, Ibadan, Calabar, jos, kaduna etc. OPERATIONS. The various musical clans will produce two representatives, a solo artiste and a group act for the CLASH. The selection process will be through a slam or audition at venues in the clans. Each clan will have two mentors who will reherse, coach and cordinate the base representatives, these mentors will be popular musicaj artistes from the base, eg in ajegunle we could have daddy showkey and baba fryo as their mentors. in festac we could have sound sultan and face as thier mentors etc. This program will afford both upcomming artistes and superstars the opportunity to pool their talents , ideas and strenghts together as they strive to win the battle of the musical clans. A tool to create national unity, with Nigeria beign a multi-cultural,multi ethnic nation, music and dance have always been a strong aspect of our culture. music and the music industry in nigeria has grown to become a vibrant and visible aspect of our socio-economic life, our musical artistes are now known all over the world and have become role models to the youths who now aspire to become great musical artistes themselves as this have provided economic freedom for many people who hitherto were living under abject conditions, these musical icons are also seen as great ambasadors of nigeria. The program shall be broadcaste on national television. the program shall have provision for online participation and interactive features for voting and comments. The slam auditions for the bases shall be pre-recorded while the finals will be beamed life to the viewers The event will move to west africa and africa after the nigerian version to know the best musical base in the continent. This will be a serious media event and will involve cable satellite networks eg Hi tv, we will seek to attract local coporations/ companies , international/ multi-national coporations to sponsor this unique event as well as government sponsorship and the endorsment of ecowas and the african union to this project which targets thje youths and the youths at heart as well as all lovers of music irrespective of age sex tribe or colour. The clash of the musical bases will use the vehicle of music and competition to inspire social change and to shape a spirit of optimism and self confidence in Nigeria, West Africa and Africa while providing massive entertainment, fun to watch, fun to participate and the talk of a season. There will be a single produced by artistes representing the bases that make it to the semi finals of the battle of the musical bases. THE TEAM. Ejike Asiegbu.
